James J. Adams

Jimmy Adams serves as founder and president of The Adams Companies, Inc., Adams Data Management, Adams Property Management and VP of Adams Transfer & Storage Company, Inc.

He is a native of Gainesville, GA and graduate of the University of Georgia, with a BBA in Transportation/Physical Distribution, and a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. After graduation, he returned to Gainesville to manage the 4th generation family business.

During his tenure, the company has diversified into bonded warehousing, property management, office & industrial development, owning and managing in excess of 1.7 million square feet, and the records management company. Adams serves as President of the National Records Centers, Inc. (NRC), a 58 member organization that provides off-site document management services to more than 20,000 companies throughout the US and Canada.

Jimmy's community involvement includes serving as State Host of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Tour. He has served as Chairman of the Gainesville-Hall County Economic Development Council; President of the NE GA Traffic Assoc, Chairman of Region 2 of the Georgia Department of Industry Trade & Tourism/Dept. of Community Affairs Regional Advisory Council, Gainesville/Hall County Development Authority. Has served on numerous boards: the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce, the Chattahoochee Country Club, Gainesville Rotary Club, Gainesville Jaycees, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society. Receipting of the 1995 Young an of the Year awarded by Gainesville Jaycees, member of 1992 Leadership Georgia and class of Leadership Hall County.
